How do I add participants?

On release of Version 2.0 the assessment center gives you four different ways to add participants to a project.

Select from a directory – The directory is made up of all of the people from your organization who have taken assessments in the past.  You can either scroll down the list to look for people or search using the box at the top of the screen.  Once you find someone you would like to add to the project, simply click “Add” and they will be added to “Selected Participants” on the screen to the right. You also have the option of adding everyone from your directory into a project by clicking “Add All.” Once you have selected all of your participants, click “Add selected participants to project.”

Import from another project – This option works well when you are putting the same group of participants through several different projects. You can search for a project by project name or project ID.  Fill in the name or ID and click “Search.”  Once the search is complete, select the project and click “Import selected participants to the project.” You will then see a list of the participants from that project. Select the ones you would like to import into your current project.

Import from an Excel worksheet – You can import your list of participants from an Excel spreadsheet by clicking “Download the Excel Import Template Here.”  Follow the instructions for adding participants. When you are finished, rename and save your spreadsheet to a convenient location. Next, click “Locate File” and navigate to your saved spreadsheet. Once selected, click ”Begin Import” to add the selected list of participants. Then click “Add Selected People.” You will be asked to confirm your selection.  Once you do this, click Continue. Note that the Import from an Excel worksheet option is a good way to bulk load participant names into your directory.

Import manually – This option works well if you have a small project with only a few participants. Fill in the last name, first name, and email address (employee ID is optional).  Select the people you have added and click “Proceed with These People.” You will then see a list of the participants you have added to the project. Either click “Continue” to continue with the project setup or add more people by choosing one of the other import options.
